# more ipod help...

my friend’s ipod is not connecting to the computer. it will charge but is getting a sad face. his friend randomly gave it to him and said that it was in perfect working condition.

i tried restoring it but nothing helped.

any suggestions?

the sad face means that it’s done.

i had the same thing and apple gave me a new one under warranty.

sad face = dead most likely. If its under warranty, call Apple and get it replaced. If not, toss it. If you are bored, gut it and check out the internals 🙂

haha the kid has a mini so i think i’m going to convince him its done and to give it to me…then i’ll operate on it. :snky:
