# MP3 Editor

Whats the best MP3 file editor… clip, normalize, beatmatch if possible 😃

- If you want the simplest way to JUST clip tracks/sets:  
[http://audacity.sourceforge.net/](http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)  
It’s crude as hell but effective.

- If you want to just play tracks and beat match/sync:  
[https://www.beatport.com](https://www.beatport.com)  
Beatport has a new media player that is decent.  
Has “two decks.” And you can access the store on it.  
\<3 [beatport.com](http://beatport.com) and I’m trying this player out right now.

- If you want something more involved, find a copy of traktor:  
[http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=traktor3\_us](http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=traktor3_us)  
( **I’m looking for a new key if anyone has one.** :tspry:)

- Normalize (probably not how you need it though):

I use traktor DJ Studio for my stuff.

If I just want to normalize and clip a track for a ring tone or something then I break out the good ole audacity.

I have a crack for that program, plus a dvd tutorial, looks pretty interesting.
