# MSG

The proper name for this is Monosodium Glutamate…after reading up on it kinda makes you wonder what all those crazy ass words on the back of a bag of potato chips really are

I’m a food technologist and while there are some things that I will never touch- a lot of ingredients are stabalizers, create textures, and keep you safe from bacteria growth in the food product.
Potato chips though…they don’t need all of that crap in them, its just not necessary.

my mother gets migraines from eating things with MSG also…and who cares is a few but it should be many…just because it doesn’t kill you now doesn’t mean it won’t kill you later

Doug is allergic to it also. I think its Japanese food that uses it…makes him mad cause he likes that food.
I never really paid much attention to it. Guess now I should.

hmmm ive been getting migrains with vision loss (auras) for the past year or so and have been trying to pinpoint a cause for them… I never thought about this…im gonna have to pay attention next time i get one and try to remember if i recently ate something with msg in it.
