Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. Go figure…
WTF… I’m down to my last 5 days here at my job, and I have to re-install Windows because Microsoft Office keeps crashing??? (I’ve tried EVERYTHING, and it won’t work) I am freaking pissed… the next 8 - 10 working hours will be spent babysitting a re-install! :blah:
I’m so tempted to just say fuck it…

have you tried the 3 inch drop? here’s how you do it. pick up the machine about 3 inches above any hard surface. let go till it drops. might fix the problem. it works about 75% of the time for me. if that dont fix it, then fuck it.

Yeah, it will fix it allright… they will just have to buy a new one!!! I won’t benefit from that though.

OMG, I just realized that over the weekend my computer “downloaded an important upgrade that required an automatic restart of your computer” I wonder if that’s the problem???

No, my new job has nothing to do with computers… I’ve already tried everything else to fix this. I have deleted the normal.dot templates, I have reinstalled registry keys using the support.dot template. I have used the original disks to repair the installation, I have completely uninstalled office, and reinstalled, all to no avail. They start fine with the /a switch, just not normally.
Microsoft doesn’t have much on the subject of EVERY office program crashing, only specific programs, and I’ve tried all that too.

I have the same prob on my sis’ computer. Office wont load in anything but safe mode no matter how many times I reinstall it or download updates. ITs been running the same install of Windows for 2 years now, on top of all that other junk she downloads and installs Id say Windows is screwed. Gonna try re-installing WIndows, that should do the trick.
