How did modern rock music get so fucking lame? I made a CD last night of Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, and some other stuff in the same early-nineties vein… It made me realize that most songs currently on the radio make me want to gouge my fucking eardrums with sharp pencils… How has the music listening public been brainwashed to accept fucking **garbage** like Dashboard Confessional, Blink-182, Slipknot as “modern rock”. Fuck modern rock radio in its stupid ass.:madfawk: ---

I like some of the new music. But i’d rather lsten to new blink 182 than the lame ass pearl jam/bush/stp/nirvana - they all fuckin blow ---

ok dashboard confessional is good depressing music. anyways modern rock sucks nicleback and all those lame mother fuckers are singing like love songs and shit. i think the emo craze last year or the year before killed all hopes of good music for the next couple years. Hate to say it but im starting to switch to metal and older rock all over again. but nothing can beat a good ac dc cd. ---

If music is on the radio nowadays, it sucks. All the bands are sellouts and they’re here to make a buck. If you still want to find good music you have to look in the “underground” scene. And once that band gets found and gets radio play, you can bet the farm that their next CD will blow compared to any others they had. That’s why I stand by A7X. As much as I like their music now, I know if they make it big then they will go downhill. ---

I stopped listening to the radio long ago. Fuck new shitty ass cock rock bands. Everytime I see HS girls singing blink 182 or good charlotte I wanna go out and destroy all radio. I have just stuck to old punk and bands like Dropkick and Rollins band. Then I get into techno a good bit since it hasnt changed too much. Drum and bass seems to be the best music for drowning out all the shitty MTV songs in my head. ---
