# Mustang guys, advice needed

a friend of mine is buying a 2000 mustang gt 5 spd with 50k miles on it, aside from regular maintenance are there any specific problems he should watch out for?

ball joints only thing i know, friend had one similar miles/year both front joints wen out bad, not sure if he ran over a mountain or something.

werd… ball joints are HORRIBLE on the new edge stangs. I heard that they went to a new supplier about that time and got crap parts.

everyone I know with a new edge, buy 30-40K miles, needed new ball joints.

unless he plans on putting alot of power to the wheels, their actually pretty good cars as far as that stuff going

The most he is going to add would be susp/rims/bolt ons.

yeah… AFAIC mine was a great car besides that issue. never gave me any problems
