Well I figure nobody wants a car that runs like shit so I cant get what Ive got into it out of it so I have to fix it.

this is why even though ive been bit by the speed monster i choose to only go so far with the moding process because with my luck id be in the hole for 30 grand plus the price of the car and have more issues then you could shake a stick at.

I got the headers back on and the car sounds like a fucking farm tractor. Exhaust leaks from just about every cylinder and the bolts are all tight.

i talked with a track offical yesterday at E-town when i was at waterfest, he had an 04 sonic blue cobra, with stock tires, stock suspension, stock clutch, tuned, exhaust, 2.8 pulley, no porting, stock throttle body, hes running 11.7@121 with a 1.7 60ft… thats at e-town, so at lvd that would be a 2.0 60ft.

Brand new copper ones- I was replacing a blown paper gasket.
I think the fucktard at Advance might have sold me the wrong gaskets but Im not sure. The old ones look a little more round than the ones I put on.

That should have been checked beforehand Paul… Man…take the car to Doug in Wynantskill…have all shit fixed to enjoy season…take small loan to pay bill…and enjoy the car.

I just figured they were the right ones. I told him the # of the Fel Pro’s I used before and told him to match them.
Im considering upping my loan- Ive already got a $7500 loan out for the car thats down to $6k left to pay (all spent). At this rate Ill be in debt until I die but whatever I suppose.
Im making a list of issues and I think Im going to buy new parts and see what happens. Gears, catback and more.
I really dont enjoy the car right now. I actually hate driving it and Ive only put 4k on it in 2 years.

I wish I was. They leak worse than before.
My brother helped me get the bolt in and it only took about 20 minutes.

Very nice man!
Oh btw, tonight we got done doing my buddies 2V cams(Stage 2 Comp Camshafts) Bolted up the heads(with the BBK shorties attached! :banana) and installed cams, did the cam timing :ohnoes …and the first time we bolted up the guides and tensioners the cam timing was DEAD on!!! Turned the motor over by hand about 10 times to make sure we had no piston to valve clearance issues, and viola! Cam timing done. So tomorrow we gotta install the timing cover, accessories, valve covers, intake and exhaust and fire the bitch up. Cant wait to hear what this cars gonna sound like!!

nice, I remb turning over the motor in my jetta when I did my cams, I had to turn that thing over 30 times before I actually started it.
