I bought this car from Jim Ball through a hook up.I got the car on 6-6-08. If you dont know the story ill give some cliffs.(very short cliffs at bottom of page) Modded WRX traded to dealership Dealership employees stole stuff from this car since it sat there Wouldnt sell since many parts stolen(Turbo,FMIC,BOV,minor body damage from being broken into.) I got car through hookup.(nonrunning condition.Was told it ran Posted on Ny speed ([http://nyspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51849](http://nyspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51849)) Been around the block.Someone “supposedly” put chemicals and sugar in tank After much redicule and saying im pretty much fucked and im an idiot :newman:I did a compression test to confirm i wasent in fact an idiot. Sti pinks wilwood 6 piston wilwood 4 piston rears Hotchkis sway bars momo pedals momo steering wheel tein s type springs koni shocks HKS titanium carbon fiber exhaust 3" 2.5" to 3" downpipe cut. FMIC charge pipes. I then started to gather parts.This is my first boxster motor ever and it was very new to me compared to past cars iv worked on.I started to price things out.It was harder then you think to find out whats missing on a car if youve never seen under a hood of one. I bought the car for cheap towed to my house, I realized i needed about 1200-2000 to get it running right. I found these parts at [nasioc.com](http://nasioc.com) and nyspeed. 75.00 maf 155 perrin intake turbo 100 turboxs short air intake,oil cap (nyspeed) 180 for turbo xs intercooler,wrx bracket,3pod pillar(nyspeed) 170 Aps BOV 90 td04 turbo 50 Battery 40 Flange I had to get misc. parts like fluids.hose lines ect ect. but you get the idea. I was very pleased how well it started up. Time to take it for a test drive.I gave it some gas and sputter buck buck.Dammit. Died back to idle.There were a couple hoses not connected so i did some more research and thought i figured it out. Nothing.Again.And again. Everytime i came back to my computer i thought i found the answer but it only led to dissapointment. I called up Devin(FuzzyFish) today and asked for a hand.He came over today and i finally got a chance to compare motors side by side. He noticed i had a Maf wire in the wrong spot.We thought we found it just like that.The car wouldnt even start. We looked a little harder and noticed that the Maf was in backwards.We quiclkly put it in the right way and it fired right up.It idled a little funny but its not on a stock tune right now. Issue solved.Took it down the road without any problems.Boosted great to 7psi since i dont have a restrictor pill in it.Runs very smooth.No codes right now.Im getting dealer plates this week and im going to get it running reliable before i DD it. Honestly for what it’s worth I think it’s worthwhile to fix up. Besides the theft issue, looking at the car it seems quite solid. As it stands the car needs just mostly minor, and easily obtained items to make it 100% and towards the end he’ll have what he’s looking for. Besides the history of abuse the car seems rather solid otherwise. And he got some nice pricey mods with it to boot. ---

Lots of money in mods here Wilwoods are over 2k alone.
