# my birthday tattoos

That was my concern as well - so I asked some paramedic friends of mine - one of which served as Triage in Afghanistan…

Apparently, a bruise is broken capillaries bleeding, with the size of that bruise, that’s a lot of bleeding. So his body protected itself and dropped the heart rate so as to not pump out so much blood - similar to internal bleeding - which caused his blood pressure to drop - which caused all 270 pounds of him to pass out and scare the bjezus out of me.  
THEN\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\> of course … we must refuse transport to a hospital - because we’re fine  
THEN\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\> we try to convince everyone we’re fine and can drive a Trail Blazer and 29 foot camper home.

Oh … and did I mention… he made me cry in front of strangers… that one requires punishment… severe punishment.
