I need to assess the situation and get it fixed up before this weekend. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. I will either raise the tank (if the fill tube will allow) or clearance the fuel tank (cut and weld). Either way I’m heading out to unload the car and pull the tank. Later. PS. I didn’t want a street car so I didn’t build a street car so 🙂 It’s not a street car. ---

damn sorry to hear that tom glad you caught before you did any real damage to the fuel cell or even worse put a whole in it… wheelies downm the track in no time ---

Thanks guys. Here is a pic for the tech oriented members. You can see where the tank is hitting the rear end. The black paint is worn off. That dust is actually the primer wearing off. It cannot be raised. Not enough room so thats out. No one will cut and weld on a gas tank. I’m having a new tank built. It will be shorter. Cheaper too. My fuel cell will be for sale after he takes all the measurements. The dent is free. Tom ---
