Im trying to figure out why my sounds like a turbo… but when I look under the hood or at the dash… theres no sign of a turbo… It only sounds like this when it drops off from a high RPM when Im kinda pushing her (ie. foot to floor) ---

Silly you. The turbo is in the gas tank, not under the hood or dash. ---

Wait so it only hisses when you step on it or when the RPM’s drop? I was stepping on my little hooptie on the 400 a few years back. It started making a sweet BOV kinda sounding hiss. Than I got a loud BOOM and my exhaust hit the ground. Come to find out the catalyst of the cat had shattered somehow. and cloged about 2 feet of the exhaust piping. Just an idea. ---

You can only hear it when you ‘gun it’ and when the RPMs drop off you can hear it hiss like its a turbo. btw… the snake car… I wouldnt be caught dead in that thing. I’d call a cab. And I might be a noob… but not that new to cars… so nice try dumbass. also, how else do you explain what kind of noise it makes other than it sounds like a turbo? exhaust leak was one guess I had… but I dont think thats the case. ---

If you had a fucking clue about cars you would know within 3 seconds of opening any hood whether there was a turbo or not. Hell, you would know even before opening the hood on just about any car.
