# my first car

Well talking to my dad he doesn’t want me to spend any money on it at all, becouse its my first car. So my thoughts are, engine will be left stock and suspention will be done right with the budget I have. First things I’ve had in mind are springs (I can’t go full coilovers becouse like I said paps doesn’t want me to drop a lot of money into it), and strut bars. Then again i’m toying with the idea of a swap in the future.
Thanks newman, someone closer to me on another local forum offered me theres so i’ll see.

SOHC power FTW!!!
Looks pretty clean though overall :tup:
If you want a spare block and DOHC head, let me know. I’ve got most the parts lying around doing nothing.

swap a DOHC head onto that, high compression 2.4L ftw

Heh my first and still is for a month is a 95 Escort, that damn thing just won’t die and not worth to sell.
240, nice, flip ups give it +5 by my standards

Lol
Well aftered I learned how to drive very well in a mini van i hop in my brothers neon and I just couldn’t enjoy driving it, i decided i’m not going to spend my money on something thats well wrong wheel drive lol
They do have turbo kits out there for the sohc but why bother?

exactly, before I get rid of it I plan on black lining it instead of buying a turbo just to blow it up.

you dont need a swap to make power.
check out [ka-t.org](http://ka-t.org), theres a section for the sohc there as well.
