if this kitchen project takes as long as the camaro, it will be 7 years before we see it done…and there will still be kinks to work out…lmao. good luck with it… +1 for racing stripes lol ---

I’ve been moonlighting getting it done as it is. I don’t think I have sat on my couch to watch tv for 3 weeks now. I actually enjoy doing this type of work, alongside working on the Camaro. 🙂 ---

true, had it been the wifes camaro, it would have been done 6 years and 9 months ago lol. I enjoy remodeling also…had fun when i did my bathroom…plumbing sux though. your old oak cabinets look identicle to whats in my house now… ---

kitchen remodeling is fun. i have an old chimney running through the corner of mine too. Just stud it out with 2x4’s on their sides. or keep it. bricks in the kitchen can look cool. i bought all my cabinets at a Auction. i got two whole sets of oak cabinets for $2100. ---

Yeah! I get to install another kitchen. The part that sucks is she lives in an upstairs condo ☹ As for the fireplace, I was going to stud it out and paint it, but it adds somecharacter to the old house and it would then stick out into the doorway to the back family room. So it’s not going to happen. ---

From the other day: Electrical wiring a house is easier than a car to me. And the microwave works when you press the buttons. I’m on a roll… and the sooner I get this project done, the sooner I get back into the garage. Pulled out both side cabinets and brought in 1 of the new ones to check for fit. The oven is going, we have a electric oven, and separate gastop that fits inside a cabinet. Maybe do the sink cabinets Friday. Finish the long cabinets Saturday, done until countertop measurements are made. 🙂 ---

More work, errr DESTRUCTION!!! 🙂 Before And teardown And if I ever meet the guy that put up the tile, I’m going to kick them real hard in the nuts for using industrial glue to do it. Lathe and plaster out… Drywall in. I’ve gotten good at the measure twice, cut once. And still using one full sheet. Finishing the seams Next step, level the floor and a little more refinishing, then install the new cabinets 🙂 ---
