so with all of this snow arriving, i decided it was time to open up the fireplace and clean it so my dad didnt have to. Plus i wanted to learn how to do, the proper way and know how to use it.
story behind the fireplace: my family bought the house gutted about 12 years ago. where this fireplace sits was a big open space from the top of the house all the way to the basement, a good 40 ft.
we filled from the basement to the first floor with cement and re bar sp? and set this fireplace in. then the mantle was put in, it wraps all the way around to the left where all the wood is stacked. next the stone was put on the front and sealed.
so tonight my project was to scrape all the glass and get it ready for winter. there are four glass doors, 2 on the side and 2 in front. i also cleaned them after with the fireplace glass cleaner and then cleaned all the mess up.
heres a couple pictures i snapped, try not to get jealous, but ill be thinking of you guys when im staying warm from this thing.
my father and i are also remodeling the kitchen along with a few other projects over these couple days being that my mother went on vacation to the Adirondacks.
ill update this when the kitchen is done, but for now enjoy!

holy shit, that was a long time ago haha. i think those beers were stolen too?!?! hahahaha i dont think u ever came to the party my brother and i had, i think it was justine and amber. i met them halfway from ambers house. lol

o boy… u have been to some of my partys right?? remember my kichen?? i will post pics. its in shambles right now. and we stained out deck this summer too.

very nice, do you know what kind of floor they went with? i just finished doing all the cabinets, unfortunately i have no pictures right now. tomorrow we are doing pine ceiling and hopefully putting the pine on the walls.
next is the new sink, granite countertops, install the dishwasher and slate floor.

granite countertops yes… floors um i remember the brand was vintage hardwood… if thats what u meant. U can kinda see the new stove in the one pic. They got a new fridge and dishwasher also… cuz everything was white before. That stupid microwave in the pic was like $$450 i think. didnt even know u could spend that much on a friggen microwave.
