# My mom's fart pipe

My mom’s 1996 THREE-cylinder, AUTOMATIC Geo Metro needed a new exhaust…everything from the downpipe to the bumper.

Monroe wanted $800 to do a stock replacement.

Redline Exhaust wanted $350 to do a ricer-style fart pipe setup.

So now my mom’s car sounds like a chainsaw…

So, if you see/hear a purple Geo Metro, rollin’ on 12s, sounding like it had an engine transplant from a Briggs + Stratton, that’s my mom.😃

I have a Prizm.

My mom has a Metro.

I used to have a Metro.

My grandma had a Metro.

We rock the Geos. The Metros aren’t fun to drive by any means, but they’re nearly indestructable and are mildly entertaining around bends. My Prizm is just a Corolla with a lower resale value. As much as I love imports, I totally respect the Geo marque and I think Chevy made a mistake in killing it. The Aveo is no Metro.
