# MY new Kitchen with Pics\*Cabinets almost done\* Updated again12/17\*\*

I really think since there are a lot of home owners on here there should be a sub section for home repairs.
Ok, so I have been working on my kitchen for the last few weeks and I am almost done. The last thing to get done are the cupboards, they are getting refinished in Natural maple in a double shaker style. Those should be done in the next two weeks.
Last week I painted, and had new Granite counters installed,I am very happy with the outcome. I also bought a new microwave and refrigerator to fit in the correct spot.
Today I got my backsplash in the mail and installed it. Very happy with it, just need to peel the cover off it and grout it tomorrow.
I will post more pics when the cupboards are done.

edit nvm i was gonna make suggestions but they would have been needed to of been done earlier in the process lol
it looks good :tup: only thing i would say is to repaint the walls in something to contrast the blues in the backsplash

we have that same countertop in the basement waiting to be installed. we got 2 slabs about 8 ft long for $800. never been installed either…

I somewhat did it backwards but I wasnt sure if I was gonna do the cabinets or not. The color will contrast with the cupboards, they are natural maple and and are very light, they will contrast the counters well.
Toda, the kitchen was dated and needed a face lift, plus I had to satisfy the wife.

IMO i like it alot, except for the tile backdrop…color choise IMO isnt the best… but still looks very good! cant wait till i have my own place/house

Did you use a contractor/counter-top specialist to do the install or did you use a general contractor and they outsourced them?
