I remember when used to get tickets for stupid shit then I moved to Texas. My last ticket… Drum roll… NY for speeding. I was in town for 6 hours lol. Awesome military state. If your truck is damaged I’d lawyer up ASAP. ---

I’ve had inspections like 6 plus months over, got a ticket and then had the ticket dropped once the car was inspected. This story is fucked up. Good luck. ---

I messaged him with what happened and his reply was “thats not right” edit: part of me wishes I would get a call saying the whole parking lat went up in flames and it is a total loss but that would be too easy. ---

(b) No motor vehicle shall be operated or parked on the public highways of this state unless a certificate or certificates of inspection, as required by this article, is or are displayed upon the vehicle or affixed to the registration certificate for the vehicle as may be determined by the commissioner. The commissioner may, by regulation, provide for a temporary indicia of inspection to be placed on a motor vehicle which shall be valid as a certificate of inspection for a period not to exceed fifteen days upon the loss, theft, mutilation or destruction of a certificate of inspection. Cannot be be operated = they can tow it since you can’t operate it legally. ---

The inspection sticker provides proof that your vehicle is safe for the road. So if your buddy rubbed the police officer the wrong way. he has every right to tow it. Get it out and bring it by Monday. ---

You have an expired inspection. You let someone drive your vehicle that was not legally driveable due to expired inspection. You are in new york state. Do the math. Regardless of how rediculous it is that the car got towed, you’re a moron. ---

I drove on an expired rejection sticker for over a year and got caught and the cop had my car towed, I was pulling on to my street too which was the shitty part. ---

F NY. if they are willing to impound a car for an expired inspection, i can’t imagine the shit they would give someone operating a vehicle they do not own, registered in another state, to an LLC owned by someone with a NYS mailing address… they might just send the car over to the department of revenue and really screw you. ---
