I was down there for work, until Friday, but decided to stay the weekend to see my uncle race his modified car, both Friday night and Saturday night. I have to say that the southerners love their racing. And I am also hooked on watching this type of stuff live. If you’ve never been, and constantly say how NASCAR is boring, just go to your local track and watch, I guarantee you’d be hooked. The track they race at on Friday night is the same track that the show Carpocalypse is filmed at. My aunt and uncle know all the people on the show. Anyhow, here’s a ton of pics I took. if its OSW (Orlando SpeedWorld) I’ve been there before to watch figure 8 school bus racing. They also have a 1/4mi track there too. ---

The short track 3/8 mile (first one we were at) is Orlando Speed World in Bithlo, Florida. The second track 1/2 mile (pics from the infield) is at New Smyrna Raceway in New Smyrna (about 30 minutes northwest of Orlando). It’s a real good time, although I didn’t get any good pics of the other races, the legend race is good and so are the stock classes where anyone with a car can race. And yeah they do have a 1/4 mile track at OSW… I was listening to all the cars and bikes scream down while watching the circle track racing.
