# Mythbusters - Anyone see something that will stop 6000 page threads?

Especially after in the original thread I put an RC plane on the treadmill in my basement and regardless of how fast I ran the treadmill the plane still tried to take off. My treadmill wasn’t long enough to reach takeoff speed, and I eventually broke the plane, but other than that it was very clear the treadmill had little to no effect on the plane.
As has been hypothosized over and over, the wheels simply spun faster and the prop acted on the air to move the plane forward.

that is just it. the plane will be moving there fore there will be airflow. nothing is stopping the plane, and nothing is stopping the air. the treadmill part is there to confuse people.
