i think nick is trying to find something to compare to this. keep in mine he has mild cams and BBB’s and a bit of boost. with the +40 cams (the most agressive on the market) the engine will make power well past 8500 rpm. I sent a member on shoforum a PM i’m waiting for a copy of his graph.

i’m not trying to turn this into a thread braging about sho’s but does anyone have any video clips of any other V6 engines reving really high.
this one is a SHO at the salt flats. the engine has been modified quite a bit becuase the car is porpus built for salt flat racing. he hit 159mph 8 mph away from his class reccord.
I love hearing high reving engines so post them up.

hows 534whp (roughly 670ish crank hp) and over 500ft lbs, stock block, ZZP st3 heads, and st2 turbo cam. Ran to roughly 7200rpm. Timing was conservative, set up has more in it.

why didn’t they burna program to hold the gear so they could make a pull that was more than 500-1000rpm. its definately making a ton of power though.

I think the best thing for our project is to use a high revving 4cyl for comparison. A motor is a motor. I don’t think that there are any V6s that will fit the criteria. NSX v6 might be the closest.

nsx and xj220 are the 2 i could realy think of before making this post
the reason for asking for v6 engines was to see how some of the high reving v6’s package the runners and the plenum’s, a problen straight 6’s and straight 4’s dont have

Whoever keeps posting about motors revving to anything less than 8K must have missed the original post.
And +1 for the GM 3.4 LQ1 you can rev them out past 8K.

mazda/ford 3.0? think they rev to 7500ish stock … i think, maybe with a different ecu they could break 8000
