Because you’re intelligent and realize the existence of such things is smoke up your butt lol. (no gay marriage joke pun intended)
It’s people like an above member, who don’t even accept the theory of evolution yet some boogy man made us, those are the type of people saying NO WAY to gay marriage.
How can that be a healthy mix? And then you give them power in government?

The last constitutional amendment NC passed in this area before this one was to ban interracial marriage. Give it a few years and this one is going to look just as obsolete.

Funny to see the sentiments on this issue literally flop upside down in regards to public opinion within the last 5 years lol.
Also, this thread is the epitome of nyspeeds inability to follow logical reasoning and listen to counterpoints. Just reading through, you can tell that each next poster is just chomping at the bit to throw in their unmovable religious/evolutionary point rather than actually counter the formers point. It is disappointing in this day and age that some screwball still won’t let someone they have never known not be “happy”. It in no way affects how the other lives their life. Stay out of it. Even if there really is a magical mystical man in the sky, two men or two women getting married will have no affect on whether the straight person goes to heaven or hell. In fact if anything I would expect that “your” god will think less of you for persecuting others, if he is as good and just as claimed.

Adam and eve, not Adam and steve. No seriously though, I really have a hard time getting all worked up over this type of stuff because it really doesn’t affect me. If do agree however, that the government doesn’t belong getting invloved in this. I think that there is bigger fish for them to fry right now.

At the end of the day, how does 2 gay people getting married in the eyes of the law really effect you? They are already together, let them get married, who fucking cares. They don’t choose to be gay anymore than someone chooses to be black, the only difference is society has always pressured them to hide it. I know someone who’s gay, but hides it from his parents and the catholic church he works for. (Weird right?) My friend’s mom finally kinda “came out” even though we all knew. It’s sad to see someone living a lie their whole life not being allowed to find happiness. THAT can be much more detrimental to their kids, if they fake a straight relationship and have them, than living with 2 gay parents in a healthy relationship ever could be. It’s only a bad thing when ignorant/hateful people, and the children they raised that way give them a hard time for it. Oh, and my church just had the whole congregation vote on whether the church could perform gay marriages, and it passed by a landslide, so there is hope for religion.

I don’t want gays to be legally married for the simple reason of healthcare costs going up. I’m not gay so I really don’t care sorry.
Also where do you draw the line legally/morally? What if I want to marry 5 girls, should be legal right? Then all 5 of my wives should get all my work beni’s too. Why should it be legal for same sex marriages but not underage? Seriously what is morally acceptable/popular? That is all that really matters right?
Want to solve our problems? Educate people and have our population/citizens contribute to society.

The also had other Sons and daughters including Seth. Genesis 5:4
But yeah, some sort of incest had to occur.

Seems like a huge stretch based on all the other factors that go into health care costs.
I worry more about about the unemployed banging out 4-5 kids personally…

In a lighter vain…
I like the gays. They produce less children (less in the way people), are rarely ever on public assistance, they take care of the neighborhood and their properties, and generally speaking they’re very nice. I have to credit Bill Burr here for some of these sentiments, but it’s absolutely true, and as a property owner, I’m 100% ok with that…

I’m changing my stance on this topic. I think all the gays should stop getting married so they stop having gay children (since whites have white children, blacks have black children, etc.). It should continue, as it has always been, two loving adults who have never been with anyone else in their entire lives (relatives excluded), of the opposite sex, getting married, buying slaves, having dozens of children who grow up perfectly normal (no child of a straight couple has, in recorded history, been bad or evil). I’m pretty sure the downfall of society has been gay marriage and I’m glad the government has solved all of the world’s other problems so they have time to focus on the issues that matter. This is good news, I’m surprised I haven’t read about it in the paper.
