My girlfriend just got a gateway laptop for her birthday, I forgot the model number but its nothing special. Vista home premium, 1gb of ram, and 160 gb hard drive. Im trying to think of any programs that are good to have on a new computer, for things like music, cleaning out the system, internet, etc… they are

Winamp
Itunes (for her ipod)
Infranview (picture viewer, slight editor)
Reg Cleaner
Mozilla Firefox
All windows updates
Adobe
Nero
Spybot search and destroy

So far this is what i came up with, I have uninstalled a couple things and cleared out some things that run with start up. I dont know what a couple of these things are but ill look them up shortly, Thanks for any input

I read the title and instantly thought “lw, sw, jal, beq…”
Yeah, I’m a computer geek.
