hi I have a 2000 Z28 and want to have a stall converter installed by a good shop at a fair price any ideas. ---

Since I do this to all of the new LSx drivers… Would you like to race? I have a slow automatic too. Oh, and Rowland Street Transmission in Ballston Spa is probably the best transmission shop in this region. Not that this is a terribly involved job that requires a transmissions specialist… I would just go to Wayne, his prices are probably the best. ---

Not necessarily. He may get misfire codes and transmission slip codes, but that really depends on the weight and stall speed of the new converter vs. the old. I had to fix the misfire tables, but I also have a 112lsa cam. If it just picks up random misfires the converter won’t lock, thats all. ---

i put a 3800 stall converter in my 2000 z28 and it made a huge difference. i did not need a tune. just wait until you have everything done to get it tuned. what size and brand did you go with. hope you went big so you wont regret it ---

im also available to do all the mods listed above . out of all the others that said they would , i know the cars better than them lol if your doin a converter ya wanna get a tranny cooler as well so the added heat wont fry the trans . i highly recomend a reflash for the converter so ya dont get a stall wall as they call it . oh and dont get a cheap converter as it will do nuttin but hurt the car and performance ---
