# need help removing water pump

i need help removing the water pump on a 2000 ford focus zx3
i have the pump all disconected but cant get it out, it’s hitting the strut tower and won’t come out…
and the manaual says nothing about having to do anything but just remove it…
is there any tricks that i may have missed to take the pump out? like jacking up the engine or something like that?
i was going to take it to the shop but it looked easy so i tried it and now an kinda stuck for now…
any help would be appreciated…

oh the wonderful fuckas water pumps.
If you haven’t disconnected the mount and jacked the engine around, thats what you should try next.

try rotating it to get it out?
the manual says rotate the pump 180° within the housing
