he sent me a text a few hours ago that just said “no worries” which makes me think he found an error in his install…? ---

ask why he replaced his old diff first. Instruct him on how to check U joints and try to help him diagnose the issue as much as you can. In the end there is no warranty on the part but if you know it it good try to help the guy out by diagnosing stuff. Do it over the phone so emotions don’t get so high with the he is dodging and trying to bone me thoughts. People are way more chill when talking on the phone because they don’t have their idiot friend in their ear filling their head with thoughts.
