My wifes 94 integra needs to be inspected here in a few months but i am stationed in WA state and dont wanna register it out here. Is there a way to get an inspection of sorts that will work ? ---

If you do know somebody that will run it through for you with just the registration which could technically be done since the car doesn’t get plugged in please don’t post it up here, since people you wouldn’t want to know about something like that do check the forum from time to time. ---

I honestly can’t see a washington state cop giving you a ticket for a NYS inspection. ---

Any time you register a car you do it without an inspection, that’s what the ten day inspections are all about. Why would it be any different when you renew it? ---

It says on the DMV website that “You **cannot renew the registration** if there is no DMV computer record of an inspection within the last 12 months”. So thats where the cause for concern came from. ---

I see. It must be more lax if you do it in person… I don’t think I’ve ever had them even mention it to me. I got to schoharie though, and they don’t really give a fuck. Good luck. ---

He could just get a new registration for it though, instead of renewing. You definitely don’t need an inspection to do that, since they give you the ten day. ---

did you try just renewing the registration online? Not sure if the automated system would kick it back, but it would be worth a try. ---

if there insnt a inspection on the vehicle in the past 2 yrs d.m.v will not allow u to renew or re-register the car untill ya show proof that it has been .there not anymore lax about it in person or thru the web . new york wants there moniezzzzzz and thats all they care about . ---
