# Need someone to weld an O2 bung

I have a down pipe that I need to put on my gti. Wife bought it for me like 2 1/2 years ago and I haven’t felt like totally melting my clutch as it barely handles stage 1. Well the new clutch is in my garage so it’s time to get this ready. Anyway, it needs a 3rd O2 sensor. Who can do that for me? I don’t have the bung yet. I can get it or if there is someone who has them lying around and can do this hit me up. Thanks.

On topic, but off topic…what are you doing for inspections with the DP? spacers?

^doubly curious. I am looking to maybe tune my A3 later this year if I decide to keep it and I would probably go stage 2 with a DP.
Can anyone speak to good ‘cheap’ DP brands?

i can weld it in for you. dont have any bungs laying around though. can order one off amazon and have it in 2 days though

Most parts stores sell bungs. Napa # and most others is 36339.

Was out of town for work and super busy. Apr doesn’t advertise this but with the file switching on mk6s you can have a non test pipe file on one tune and a true stage 2 with the rear 02 sensors turned off. I am going to use roc euro spacers for when I am on the non test pipe file to pass inspection.
I will hit somebody up after I get a bung.

A Vibrant J spacer will also do the trick for the rear O2 non test pipe.

I can also weld it. Or we can each weld it and who ever has the best weld gets used, all others plugged.

Choko took great care of my bung. He reamed the hole with the perfect amount of force. It really made for an enjoyable evening. There was some splattering, but it didn’t make too much of a mess.
