[FONT=Verdana]I seacrch and could not really find any “DIY” in the past 6 month … I could just suck at life but anywho.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Ok so I bought a new car yesterday:whisper: and its black and full of buff swirls… I’m new to the whole black car thing… I was told that it is very hard to get a black car to shine.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]This is what I was told I need to do.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]1. Clean[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]2. Clay bar[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]3. Polish[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]4. Wax [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Ok.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Now that we got the list in place, what wax/polish should I use… What product is better/easier to use wipe off.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Links and such would be nice if you could.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]\<3[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Mike[/FONT] ---

xymol was fantastic for my black bikes. i would wash, claybar occasionaly, wash and wax with xymol. ---

You’re really not going to get rid of the swirls without a machine polish. Some waxes will fill in the swirls and make then less noticeable, but will not last long. First get the swirls out (machine polish), then you have to be very careful. Only wash with a new and clean sponge, use two buckets, dry with a new and clean mf towel, etc. ---

It’s pretty easy to get a black car to shine. Keeping it swirl free should be the ultimate goal, and that is done by proper washing. I’ll write more later if I remember / get a chance. ---
