# Neonglh \> 60 trim VR6

I went to this meet today with a bunch of Euro cars. After checking everything out I found this cool kid that had a newer style Jetta with a 60 trimmed VR6 setup. It was a really nice car. I talked to him, and we set up some pulls on \_\_\_\_\_ road. We did two pulls, they were about… 40 - 120 or so, give or take. Not really sure, it was just a speed that worked for both of us.
First race I heated the tires up with a good burnout in 2nd, started in 2nd, caught 3rd hard, and then 4th, and pulled a few cars. Maybe… 3 or 4 car lengths. Its always hard for me to tell.
He wanted to do one more pull, so we did the same race, but this time no burnout, I just started out in 3rd gear. I was around 2500 rpm or so, ad it bogged a little bit, and then spooled up and went. I pulled about 2 - 3 cars that time.
Nice guy though, very nice car. It was quick :tup:

no drama and bs trashtalking? isnt that the whole reason you race someone? errrr maybe its just the honda guys. good kill nonetheless!

Stock-ish, but my car is set up pretty nice, everything works together really well, and its fairly light. I mean hell, I have smaller tires in the rear for weight savings, lol. Its a fun car, for a neon.

hmm I wonder what kinda setup he was running usually t3 60 trims can help put out around 350whp on a 1.8. HMmm

He told me he dyno’d at 360 whp, 370 ft/lb.

well what does a stock ish turbo mean? I thought srt4 stock turbos where no bigger than a gt28r

Its an srt turbo, but I have things like a better wastegate and a larger o2 housing.

It wasn’t a 1.8T as stated before it was a MK4 turboed VR6.

Thats gotta scoot! If I remember my compressor maps and turbo specs, the gt35r puts out 65#, where my 60 trim (and probably similar to this guys) put out 54#. So… I’d probably lose, but… I’ll run him if he wants when its out 🙂
