97 Dodge Neon Sport… 76k, has the D4RE 140hp Dohc motor… cousin to the Mitsubishis 420A just different head exhaust ports in the front on the 420A. I used to have a '96 but mine was a SOHC and automatic. Fun little shitbox and the best handling car Ive owned so far. My brother had a '95 SOHC/stick but he rolled it about 3 weeks after he bought it. If you ever need parts Hollenbeck’s junkyard in Sloansville usually has a ton of them. ---

it looks a lot like my 420A in my eclipse. its not the fastest car, but itll be good on gas at least ---

mine had a cover on the cam gears and i think the calve cover looked slightly lower, but otherwise it looked the same. i dont see why theyd make such monute changes to a motor with 0hp difference and make a whole new engine code for it and stuff. just toss the same engine in both ---

i took the cover off the cam gears and the only difference between my motor and mitsubishi’s motor was that my motor was developed by lamborghini… mitsubishi’s was complete chrysler ---
