If thats the case then fucking do something with it! Those elevators have been sitting around doing nothing for years. These are just people looking for excuse to prevent the casino from going up.
If the opponents get their way, I can bet you any amount that those grain elevetors will fall down on their own before some “historical landmark” is made of them.

being the inside track that i have since my company will be designing all the plumbing/hvac/electrical shit for this casino…i will know exactly where it will be as soon as the Senecas know…i will keep NYSPPED updated whenever we find out whre it is

This was on the radio yesterday a.m… some caller had a decent point. Something along the lines of “make the grain elevator into a hotel - it’s been done before with stellar results” -or- “make the ship into a floating hotel since they are never going to get rid of that either”
But, sadly, in the end I think that the local’s will find a stead-fast way to fuck this up as well.

Yea they did that in Cleveland…made a grain elevator a hotel…they ship is a disater waiting to happen…blow up the ship…knock down the grain elevator and lets gamble…its sucks they cant blow up the elevator they are meant to withstand explosions…someone said they gotta be taken down brick-by-brick…i guess it costs a ton…thats y we need to let the Indians do it

Exactly. Initial bid estimates are in the tens of millions PER elevator.
Apparently something like 10" thick walls (iirc).

Why don’t they just give the land to Canada or France then?
Edit: Isn’t Niagara Falls still a shit hole? I thought the casino was the savior there.

I think its a terrible idea to give it away but selling it is less of a bad idea, its better that letting it sit there and decay. People are completely retarded if they think bass pro is going to save this city so other plans have to be made, this seems to be the only one that will work.

because they arnt giving it away they are SELLING it…and in the contract they will make a deal where either county/state/city…gets a portion of profits from the casino…plus that will inspire more waterfront development by other investors besides teh Senecas and maybe we can havea nice city again within the next 10-15 years
