well im done with school in a few weeks and time to get a job, so that means its possibly time to find a new daily driver… i want something nice, and a little quick i suppose. I’m a HUGE Acura fan (03 CL type s, 04 TL, TSX) which is the route i wanted to go. but the S4 has caught my eye and i like them more and more everytime i see them. what are the positives and negatives with the S4??? i know AWD and twin turbo is a good thing… but what else? ---

well… if youre looking to buy new, the S4’s are now 340hp V8s. But I heard somewhere that the TT V6 S4s aren’t the most reliable DD’s My neighbor has a 2003 Audi RS6 (TT V8), and he loves it. But would never use it as his daily driver another alternative you might want to check out. Volvo S60-R. AWD, 2.5L inline-5cyl Turbocharged. 300hp. ---

don’t get the s4 with the v8… get the one with the twin turbo’d 6… it’s reliable in the respect that there aren’t commonly known issues with the car… i know people that daily drive them all the time as well as track them… with a chip and a set of downpipes you’d have a hell of a fun daily driver… maintenance isn’t going to be outrageous… but you’re going to have to run 93 octane and use fully synth oil and shit… buy mann filters … can’t cheap out on it and expect to not have problems… vw / audi are known to have oil issues with dino (junk) oil… but i love the s4… really nice layout, and pimp inside… very confortable… not a huge fan of the acura… ---

I just liked the Acura’s for the Honda reliability and luxury for dollar features… ---

there is a metalic grey RS6 that i see in oakland quite often. It just impresses me that someone would have that as a daily driver. Probably a cardiovasculaar surgeon at upmc. ---

i think audi has 200 RS6s for the US. Its pretty rare, i almost nut my pants evertime i see that car on the road. ---

hmm, well i’d definitely say new cars are out… and probably anything within the past 1-2 years.
