Back in Fl we have quite a few reputable loose diamond stores, where you sit down get asked what your looking for etc, and they bring out a bunch of stones to look at all of their stones are certified and lifetime warrantied with 100% trade up value, the marquise in the center of mine has one decent sized inclusion but is not visable to the naked eye the cut and shape of the marquise hide it quite well ---

Jewelry shops will only give me what im looking for on consignment and I really am not the type to wait, as they told me will retail for $6,000. I am very open to taking offers. ---

I would buy a used diamond any day of the week…if I thought resale would provide me an upside. This cut is not really what most are looking for so demand will likely remain soft. Diamonds are like cars…always let some other sucker eat the initial depreciation. If a chick has issues with a diamond being “used” either you shouldn’t have told them, they aren’t a keeper or all the above. 😉 ---

meh, used diamonds don’t typically have good resale value(especially from a private seller) because 1) It’s sketchy, even with a cert. 2) Nobody wants to be “that guy”, it’s a pride thing. I’d be more likely to buy a used diamond/ring from a jewelry store than from average joe on nyspeed/craigslist. ---

If you buy at the right price anything can have a nice resale value. The pride thing is widespread and foolish, such is our culture. ---

All good ideas but im just moving for work so just looking for the extra cash at this point, no need for watches etc. As far as used eh, I bought mine new through a work connection, BUT when your girl is wearing a tiny rock for the same price from a Kays or Jared then there goes any bragging rights because youre not able to swallow pride. And actually this ring is completely remade, it had 2 loose stones when I had it cleaned and was the second time so they re did the band and setting is virtually all brand new and has yet to be worn ---

I’m not clear on what they actually did. ---
