The 3.8-litre boxer engine of the GT3 RSR remains unchanged apart from slight improvements to details. It delivers 465 hp at 8,000 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 317 lb-ft at 7,250 rpm. Aside from the easily recognizable additional spoilers on the front apron (so-called flicks), optimized air ducting with newly-designed side air outlets generates more downforce and reduces drag. The rear end, including the rear wing, was carried over from its predecessor. Under its skin, extensive changes to the suspension kinematics increase mechanical grip considerably. The GT3 RSR will set buyers back a cool $508,000 (€349,800), and Porsche has already received orders for 35 cars. I unfortunately do not think the RSR will be competition for the F430 this season, or if they debut the M3 GTR at Petit. ☹ ---
