One of the guys on my site is a tech inspector, so I’ll have more specs on the track tomorrow. It’s right next to the 290 entrance on NFB. We are already in the works of planning a meet there. Not that cheap. What is Open Racing? Open Racing is the time available to the general public to “arrive and drive.” This is a first come, first serve basis and drivers race against the clock. There are 8 minute heats and there can be up to 25 racers each heat. How long does each race last? Each race is 8 minutes which is about 20-25 laps depending on the skill level of the driver. What should drivers wear? We recommend sneakers but do NOT permit sandals or open-toed shoes. Comfortable, light clothing is best however, we provide full length driving suits that fit over regular clothes. We also provide helmets and gloves and a required head sock can be purchased for $3.00. How much does it cost? Open racing is $20 per session. We offer a membership package that allows members to pay $17 per session. ---
