i woulda left. no car, car, poor, rich w/e. They had 5 days. 2.5 days of walking would get your ass far away from the coast that you would be safe. when you had the president and the mayor of your town pretty much in lamens terms saying “ummm we are fucked”. I think its a pretty good sign to leave. unless you have a stand up jet-ski. Then i would have stayed and thrashed the ocean, and those 20ft waves that pussy storm “katrina” was throwin my way 🙂 ---

:word: There were too many words in that description, I’m glad you made it through. The other way to look at it if 80-90% of the money goes to the right cause and only 10% of the money goes to scammer fuckers… it is probably still worth donating what you can. BTW - Anyone care to explain the negative karma left for this topic? I doubt it was any of the active posters in this thread, because most of it has been positive, and has brought about non dramatic discussion. Just wondering who it was, and why? “Just a few comments I was sharing with the guys here at work…” ---

so hold your breath and stay under it. BTW - I have never been tested for aids, I would not feel comfortable donating blood and putting someone else’s life in danger. ---

Thats good. I thought they would but ya never know. I know when I donated in HS they didn’t ask any questions or anything. Do they have blood drives for this? ---

1. Your right. I’ve only met like 1 other person like you, but GOD didn’t remember me either. 2. So you accomplish some good stuff a decade or so ago and then stop? Congrats. Everyone is already giving money to help. Who do you think is paying for all the government rescue personal, military people and vehicles? Our wonderful taxes. So we all have to pay for a bunch of people who live in areas that get flooded every year and destroy everything. I can not feel sorry for people who live in flood zones. You know this shit is going to happen every year yet you stay there and expect the rest of the country to bail your ass out every year. ---
