So I take the wifes truck in for service @ towne yesterday afternoon. I go into the showroom and see a nice brand new shelby. White with red stripes. The car is 48K and some change and they couldnt even paint the red racing stripes. It has vinyl racing stripes like some ricer put the car together. wtf ---

I’m pretty sure all the Shelby GT’s have vinyl stripes instead of paint. I’ve seen a few @ car shows like that. ---

if you dont want the stripes you can peel them off, apposed to dealer ordering a car without painted stripes 😃 ---

uhm, ya that’s normal, that way when the guy who is buying it has the option to remove the stripes. Whats your point ---

Hell yeah that’s tacky as fuck. If I’m going to buy a 48000 dollars car(a mustang at that) I wanted painted stripes. Leave the stripes off and have it as a option then. Make the body shop paint them if the customer wants them. And I’ve never seen a gt500 without stripes so they should come painted. Maybe I’m ranting over nothing. Could be the fact that I can’t have the car lol ---

well for 1 the stripe kit is ~$850 and 2 it looks like ass without stripes ---

no the best one is the Base GT at west hurr with the FR500 “kit” on it. and custom corner “sponsor” decals. but i guess its no different than the subaru guys with WRC graphics on their stock wrx. or sti. cool if your a fan of GT racing. i guess.
