It seems GM will bring out a updated Cobalt SS sometime in the summer of 2008. GM has already ran the motor threw SAE and it makes 260 HP and 260 Tq. the LNF is GM’s turbo 2.0 like Roush said its surrently in the HHR SS\> ---

this will be a way better platform than the supercharger :tup: i bet a lot of people will make quite a bit of power out of these now ---

I’ve been saying this all along. That little engine with a turbo would make alot more power than the supercharger. Same thing for any engine though. Look at that fuggin torque curve! It’ll be like driving a stock '76 SD455 trans am. ---

Hmmm, Im usually all about turbo\>super but the one car that I really liked a supercharged platform was the cobalt ss. How many other companies produce a factory supercharged inline 4 as opposed to the dozens of companies who make turbocharged ones? I just thought it was kinda innovative even if it was gm who had to do it. ---

That is a very impressive power curve. That is what the power curve looked like when they released the ECOTEC 2.4L Flat torque to redline. Love them or hate them GM (delphi) knows how to tune a car. I have seen first hand what it is they do and how they develop a calibration. If you think that paying a tuner for 5 hours of his time on a standalone is gonna get you a perfect tune you are sadly mistaken. I don’t care who it is. Delphi has a team of engineers and engineer techs working on a calibration. Which in the end consists of tens of thousands of man hours to develop so that the car can start and run flawlessly in -30 to 130 degree weather. ---

[/quote] the cobalt won’t get a design change at the moment. front grill will change a tad and the current 5 spoke rims will become 10 spoke. That dyno curve looks almost identical to what my SRT-4 had with the mopar stage 2 kit. 260 lbs of torque @ 2500rpm its a lot of fun. :tup: ---

ya…oh well. At least they sell some decent aftermarket turbo set ups for the civic sis and type s’s. Im still gonna have to pass on that though. I enjoy my 36mpg ---

cobalts need better fronts. They look so cheap. (not that it’s a luxury car) :tup: to the turblow tho. ---
