It can handle around 22-23 before the stock turbo is out of its efficiency range. I’m gonna turn it up once spring time comes around. I also have to take care of some header leaks because the stock headers are notorious for cracking, but other than that its running great.

you can get more with that stock elbow and a 3inch Downpipe installed 🙂

alot more.

My header leaked also, sucks just make sure its tig and bolted to a head b4 its welded, i found out the hard way.

I wonder what made GM go with the engine choices they did? The Chevy’s and Olds’s got a dog of a 5.0 and the Buick got a turbo 6? But nobody got a 350?

Was there a G body Grand Prix too? Or am I smoking something?

i know. blows me away that TPI wasn’t incorporated on at least a 305… or even a 350. fucking weird.

the chevy TBI 305 was a boat anchor

the “HO” olds 307 was also a piece of shit

and yeah, there was a pontiac grand prix RWD G body

Just to add; other '80s G-Bodys got a 3.8 and turbo too. Only one I can come up with proof is, the Monte

> The Chevrolet Monte Carlo debuted in 1970. It was built as a personal-luxury car, but grew into much more. The greatest achievement came when the Monte Carlo became NASCAR's winningest stock cars ever. Follow the Monte Carlo from 1970 to 1996.

I guess the politic rumors of having to kill the GN because it was going faster than the 'vette would of carried over on the Monte. BUT, it would have made the Monte Carlo SS sooooo much more bad ass if it was the same drivetrain as the GN or GNX.

Yeah I am really not sure what GM was thinking only putting the turbo v6 into the GN. The best years for that engine were 86 and 87 when they used the intercooler. It would have been kind of cool to see a factory turbo el camino or monte carlo, although I think the GN is one of the better looking G Body cars.

BuickGN: I was planning on getting a front mount intercooler, I guess I could also just get the duttweiler neck for the intercooler. Just need to save some money for it.
