Those are some really good #s. How do you expect the motor to hold up? Are the stock pistons cast?

the carnk and rods are forged from factory and i just heard that the pistons are also a cheaper forged unit made in production by mahle. So the bottom end is good for 6-700ish. But i guess it all depends on how much you wanna push the motor.

what kind of compression does the 328 have ? 10.5:1?

the key to any good successful budget build is a good solid base (bmw) and alotta diy and headaches. If i had to do it again with the knowledge i have now i could probably do it even cheaper. But 4-5g is just an estimate of hardparts. Who knows how much the tiny nuts/bolts/gaskets and other stupid stuff cost. that stuff i just write off as normal maintanence. Dyno time cost money and what not so either way it adds up to $$$$$.

stock i believe is around that but i have a .140 cometic gasket so im in the high 8’s low 9’s. not realy sure exactly what CR im at.
Im gunna go and fix up my boost leaks and turn her up to 25psi and just leave it there. I should be @ 600ish whp then. we will see.
