Your call. It definitely helps when you have someone helping that _actually_ helps.

+1 to that. Working by yourself can be detrimental sometimes.

OK, got back to work.

Here were my test fitting cuts on the dash. It’s a good thing that I have 2! (This one was cracked to shit anyway)

So then I got around to cutting it for real, with a holesaw. It came out pretty good but there were some gaping holes on the backside… had to think of something to cover them up…

So i still had some pre-preg CF left over from my closeoff… I wish that the dash was a little flatter, as this would work a lot better.

I may change it up, still unsure. It’ll probably be a winter project or something…

And lastly I test fit my new wing, dropping that off for paint today…

it’s creepy seeing the exhaust routed without the tunnel installed. wrapping/coating it? and what are you planning on using for heat shielding? something off the shelf from DEI ect? dash looks as though it fits, consider making some fiberglass panels that would fit more reliably over the winter? b/c i bet that CF is going to pop up no matter how good you bond it…

Yeah, I actually might change them to aluminum and screw them down. Not sure, but it will work for now, and it’s better than the big ugly holes.

I’m really hoping I can get the tunnel in there without removing the dash, I think I can. I just need to find the plug for the wiper motor and the reverse sensor and install them with some long wires before I can put it on.

I am going to wrap the exhaust eventually, but not til winter, prob. I wanna make sure there are no leaks…

You could always wrap the dash in some anti-glare fabric, and use that plus some filler pieces to hide holes…

Nice progress…does the dash look that bad without the CF? I would say just leave it…

Haha, Thanks. I don’t know about in **all** things automotive…I can always learn more and I really try to get things done right. I feel that if you think about things for a little bit it helps. However, you can’t plan for everything and everyone makes the dumbest mistakes.
