The boss isn’t gonna fire the guy, how else is he gonna get paid for the car?

Sounds like the employee just became a volunteer.

I doubt the guy is going to get fired, and I doubt he is going to make him pay for the car. It was his own risk trusting him to drive the car. It’s his loss.

There is a difference between someone on a professional level and someone who’s also a friend.
