Oh he should paint it. With Krylon. Maybe get whatever major bodywork done. But rattlecan that bastard of a beast and go from there. Of course, I’m one of those tools that would drive and urban camo spray painted car… ---

The paint plan was OEM gloss white or OEM belize green. I cleaned it up a bit and the green is growing on me hard, so it will likely stay the OEM color. She’s starting to clearcoat peel in weird places and needs bodywork anyway though, so why not just give the car some fresh paint IMO. I’m gonna be repainting or reclearing enough parts (the quarter where its rusty, the new driver front fender I ordered, the new pass rear side skirt trim I ordered, the roof, the hood, the driver front door. May as well just do the whole damn car so it doesn’t look mismatched, God only knows 20 year old paint doesn’t retain its original luster. I’m not gonna do anything stupid or ricey with it. Aside from new wheels and maybe tint, the exterior won’t change much. Just needs some TLC in my opinion. ---

Why not just enjoy the car for a year and then get something better after he graduates college (next spring). Its a cool car but dropping 2k in paint which you probably won’t get your money back for just so you can have a mint early nineties japanese fighter plane on wheels is kind of dumb. I’m honestly not sure what kind of gas mileage its capable of. I got 230 miles on my last tank of gas beating the absolute piss out of the car most of the time, so I’m sure I could see somewhere in the 20’s if I was nice to the car.
