the xb has the same motor as the echo, right? that 1.5l vvti? my dad has an echo, awesome motor+trans combo. them shits never die. the car will rust away but that motor will just keep running

yes same motor, they wont rust, not to the point that theyll fall apart like they used to. that was the 80s toyota, they have used different, better steel since the 90s

just because scion is part of toyota doesnt mean the scion will last long, they can be dropped, especially in this economy. Your car may have been 17k new when you bought it but they arent now so im not sure how you can make that arguement anymore. Also they are better looking cars, more reliable cars, and cheaper cars than the scion, IMO that is. You have so many more options than that, why pick something thats ugly?

Yeah im sure Toyota will drop there most competitive price/economic line that they have. That would make perfect sense. How would you know those cars are more reliable than a Scion? When I buy a car, theres 2 things i care about, MPG and reliability. Maybe my car isnt ugly to me, just because you dont like it doesnt mean I dont have to, and just because you think a cube, a car thats been here for a week is more reliable than my car doesnt mean it is. BTW my car was 13k new.

your particular car may be reliable, and thats why you have that opinion, but ANY car can break. I already told you why i bought the car, if most people buy cars for there looks then why is the Camry the tope selling car in our country every year? Most people dont buy cars for the looks, i sold cars for 5 years so i know this, people buy cars for mainly 3 things, MPG, Reliability, and resale value. how much experience selling cars do you have where you can back this up?

i dont think thats true at all, you mean to tell me that people think the camry is ugly? My gf has one and its very nice, unreliable though, and she gets worse gas mileage than my 99 maxima with 170k on it, I dont think because you sold cars makes you qualified to say anything, car salesman are the most useless tools i have ever met, goodluck with that
