Looks like Honda is calling it quits on it’s NSX project, are they scrapping it or putting it on the shelf waiting till the economic crisis gets figured out and they dust it off and start again?:/: All I know is, one more less future competition on the GTR lol:cool: **[http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=19133](http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=19133)** Also no longer any plans on Acura brand establishment in Japan & No more F1 Racing till future notice…wow! rough times indeed. while honda pulled out of F1 and canned the nsx they have been doing other more economical things, which should probably = higher return, at least more than a new nsx? Like the fcx clarity ---

well that sucks a whole bunch. They had plans on branding hondas in japan as acuras? i did not know this. ---

it does suck. O well, atleast SPOON still plans on selling their own special copies the NSX-R GT-T (thats right, TURBO) for about 125k. ---

The Spoon Signature NSX-R GT is set to be formally announced at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon in January. Spoon will be racing a specially prepared version of the NSX-R at the Macau Grand Prix this coming weekend. According to [GTChannel.com](http://GTChannel.com), Spoon’s race-prepped NSX-R features a 450hp naturally-aspirated 3.5L V6 capable of turning 9800rpm, all in a 950kg package. Pricing of the roadgoing version is expected to come in at around $150,000. Spoon plans to manufacturer five of these in 2009. Total potential quantities are unknown but are thought to be limited to around 20 to 25. Opak Racing (based in Northern California) will also offer kits to convert existing NSXs to Type-R specs. “The kit contains all the Type-R parts for conversion, including Spoon-prepped engine and transmission, with Spoon aero kit.
