nanny laws are bullshit, you are an adult, and you should be responsible for your actions, whether it be seatbelt, cell phone, texting ect. one bad apple (or mildly retarded teenage girl) does not spoil the whole bunch i was in jacksonville last week. it was a relief driving and talking on the phone and NOT having to look around all of the time to not be caught. reminded me of a few years ago, when nys did not have a budget crisis ---

yep got served up an 82 in a 65 today the day after reading this thread fml total two speeding tickets in the past few weeks, havent gotten one in 6 years before that. NYS sucks like that ---

A handful of people here have a real undying respect for our laws. It’s great reading the “you broke the law, you deserve everything that happens to you!” posts. Oh wait, no it’s not. For the seatbelt thing, should there be laws saying that you must wear one? No. Do I think you’re an idiot for not wearing one? Yes. ---

The only reason I like the seat belt law is because it helps protect passengers in the car. With no seat belt people are like rag dolls bouncing around inside the car. I would hate to be injured or killed by someone in the car when I could have been fine other wise ---

First 15 minutes of my riding season this year I’m almost crushed by a broad in a 3 ton grocery getting death machine on a phone. Comparing seat belt use and driving while sexting is apples and oranges. You’re not going to kill a family of four in their minivan being a human projectile. ---

Seat belt laws are also in place to help keep insurance claims down. You want to pay out of pocket for medical [funeral] expenses instead of having your insurance pay for it, causing my rates to go up? Edit: Some people can drive while on a cellphone, most cannot. I actually drive better/slower if I need to answer a call. ---

The majority of people can’t drive to begin with. Add in some factors like being 16 or 87 and then a cell phone - Total clusterfuck. I feel like I almost get nuked by some idiot texting/talking while driving once a week. I got yanked for a 61 in a 45 a couple weeks ago…my court date is next thursday. I’m sending my lawyer on my behalf to get it taken care of…any reason I shouldn’t do this? ---

Cars or motocylce's its only a recomended speed.
