hey guys i have a 1990 240sx and i wanna swap the motor but i been hearing a whole bunch of stuff about not being relyable, not fast, “shit”, waste of time.

now i wanna ask u guys what u think is best, money is not a question…

ca18det  
s13 red top sr20det  
s14 black top sr20det  
s15 motor (not sure if there’s a spcific name…lol)

just want to do a poll on those blocks…thnx guys

s14 motor

comes with a t28 already

better intake manifold

and vtec

the only one there that imo is not worth the money is the s15 sr20. for the price you’d pay for the 20 extra hp, you could easily make much more then that with basic bolt-ons, plus you get a 6-speed which if you plan on making any kind high hp numbers is not reliable.

The rest is up to you, there have been MANY debates to weither the ca or sr is better and each one has its pros and cons, do some reaseach and find out which one is best for you.

Get an S13 blacktop front clip. You will have everything you need to swap except for DOHC power steering line.
