# Number on Windshield

I have always wondered, what does the number on the top of the windsheild in the middle mean? My car has a green 2, I have seen red 7’s and what-not. So yeah, whats it mean?

Yeah my Silvia had a red 4 im guessing that it has something to do with the way they registered or insure their vehicles. I also had a red 4 on the butt-end of my side mirrors when they are folded in…thats a weird place.

isnt it for the glass and whats in the glass and the bends in the glass so when u go to get a new window they know?

I think they are refering to a JDM sticker in the center (right above the rear view mirror) of the windsheld.

Japan registration is called shockin. It is done very commonly. The month is just when it expires. Then it is time to get shock in again. Kinda like our oop inspection. That is what that sticker is for!
