# NY DMV Form MV-78B

I actually lost 1 of them. Only have 1.

The notary thing did NOT work, for future reference. I went through a few people at the DMV, too…

try a different DMV if you have trouble… the more rural you go the less they care.

or ask me if i can help i will. mv78B is not a notorized form, last time i needed one i went over to the trooper barracks told them i lost a rear plate and they gave me one. i’m confused on the situation let me have the short version of what you need and why

My situation isn’t very serious. I know I can just get the form, but I don’t like going to a police station unless I absolutely have to.

I was hoping that since I work with a notary public, she could just whip up something. That didn’t work, so it’s either up to me to surrender the plate I have, or go to the police station in order to keep it.

I was just posting up that the notarized letter, at least at the George Urban DMV, doesn’t fly.
