there’s Vector Motorsports and Livernois who both do those tuning things that come with a cable and such… how much is HP Tuners? Is that the best tuning program?
bother Vector and Livernois want 600 but they say it includes free retune within reason.

You gotta pay to play. Paying 1100 for tuning can save you money in the long run… You got guys that play around with their tunes and blow shit up like its their jobs, costing way more than 1100 in motor work.

Yeh Im not tuning on my own, just wondering how much it was cause I thought it came in the kit with the livernois/vector tune kits but its not.

I truly dont know about that stuff, johawk, jadaniels, 88slow, ssmokin and a few others may be able to help ya on that

Morgan recently tuned a stock auto G8 (ram-air intake & axle-back exhausts) for $450 which included HPTuners licensing ($150 of the $450). & re-tuning done at $150 per hour
the differences below 3000rpm are from using different load rpms… which the auto trans worked fine at low rpms

blue=hp green=tq
faint (dotted) lines are from an untuned baseline pull
solid lines are from tuning
you are looking at 30whp & 30 lb/ft tq gains up top (5000-6000rpm)
looking at 15-20whp & 20tq gains at 4000rpm
the differences below 3500rpm are from the dyno loading at a different rpm. it loaded at 3000-3250 for the baseline & 2250 for the final pull

He didn’t lock the converter for the pulls? The lock-up clutch should be able to hold at these power levels without issue.

8 hrs to tune a bike is insane… I had a full motor tune n nos tune done in 2 hrs…
Any tune will get done quicker with someone whos has good tuning knowledge…
